MARY KEATING TURNER, age 83 of Wilmington, Delaware, formerly of Newark, Delaware and Rochester, NY died peacefully on July 26, 2017. Mary spent her early life in Rochester, NY and fondly remembered the days she spent on her Uncle Dick’s farm in Victor, NY. She was a 1953 graduate of St. Agnes High School.

She married Richard E. Turner, an engineer for the DuPont Company, in April 1954 and lived in Alabama and New Jersey before finally settling in Newark, Delaware. She was a lifelong homemaker, with a fondness for springer spaniels, quilting, camping, and country music. She is pre-deceased by her husband of 49 years, Richard E. Turner.

Mary is survived by her son, Richard Turner and Elizabeth Schilling of Redlands, CA, daughter Rose Milak of Port Englewood, FL, daughter Marilyn Wilson and Robert Wilson of Fort Payne, AL, daughter Katherine Vavala and Phillip Vavala of Wilmington, DE, and son Bruce Turner and Heather Turner of Redlands, CA. Grandchildren Nathaniel, Julie, Kerrigan, Katie, Robert, Phillip, James, Elizabeth, Cole, and Jack. Great Grandchildren Addison, Aeric, CJ.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 6-8pm at Jarmusz Cotton Funeral Home, 26 Maple Ave, Victor, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered the following day, Wednesday, August 2 at St. Patrick’s Church, 115 Maple Ave, Victor, NY at 10:00am. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of both Sunrise and Vitas for their love and support of Mary and her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions should be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Delaware Valley Chapter.
