Thomas George Sigler, 74, passed away on July 24, 2017 at his home in Wilmington, DE. At his request no service will be held. Tom was born in Ridley Park, PA on September 11, 1942, the eldest child of Thorton Vernon Sigler and Dorthy May Fountain. He graduated from Oxford Area High School in Pennsylvania in 1960.

After school Tom volunteered for the Army hoping to see the world and, while he only saw the South of the United States, he was able to travel extensively later in life. After discharge he acquired an Associates degree at Drexel University.

Tom built a career for himself as an architectural draftsman. He actively sought the cutting edge of his industry and caught onto the Computer Aided Drafting movement in its infancy in the 1980s. He worked for thirty years at Brandywine CAD.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cheryl Sigler, née Anthony; his son Karl Sigler and daughter-in-law Tasia Harper; his daughter Kristin Davis and son-in-law John Davis; his sister Dorthy Ann Fetter; his cousin Al Seltzer, with whom he grew up as a brother; as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews, family and friends. Tom was also predeceased by his half brother Charles Sigler.

His hobbies varied greatly and in line with his love of travel, he enjoyed motion, whether it was his lifelong enjoyment of riding and tinkering with bicycles or religiously watching Formula One racing. When he wasn't in motion, he always kept busy expanding his horizons through voracious reading. Tom also enjoyed the hard work and craftsmanship involved in knife making and had an extensive collection.
