Jean Piscitelli, 97, went home to heaven on October 23, 2017. The welcome party included her 4 brothers and 3 sisters as well as her husband, Dominick, and daughter, Jeanne. Jean had been a resident at the Ware Presbyterian Health Center in Oxford, PA for the past 3 1/2 years.

Jean was born and raised on Long Island, New York and lived most of her life there. During the WW II years she worked for Grumman in Bethpage, LI as a riveter, manufacturing bulkheads for small aircraft. Following the war she worked as a beautician.

Jean was a faithful member of her Assemblies of God church in Franklin Square, New York where she lived for over 50 years. She loved God and her family and served both wholeheartedly. Loving to cook, no one ever left her home hungry. Her neighbors cherished her friendship as the lone surviving original member of her neighborhood.

In 2005 she moved to Wilmington, Delaware to live for 8 years with her son, Nick, wife, Nancy along with their children, Loryn, Michael, Cathryn, and Matthew. She was lovingly accepted into the everyday routine of church and family life and made significant contributions to both. Jean was delightfully entertained by her grandchildren and was especially proud to hold for the first time her great-granddaughter, McKenna in the summer of 2016.

A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, October 27th at 12 noon at the Calvary Assembly of God Church, 2600 Shipley Road, Wilmington, Delaware, 19808. A celebration lunch will be served after the service. A private burial service will be conducted on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to a favorite charity in Jesus name.
