Mohammad Kamali, born August 12, 1936, died peacefully surrounded by friends and family on October 28, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife Honey, sons Peter and Michael, and 5 very loving grandchildren, Merisa, Elli, Amelia, Francesca and Liam, plus an extended family of siblings and their children. He was born in Iran and graduated from medical school in Tehran, before moving to the United States in 1962. Dr. Kamali completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery in Lexington, Kentucky. He achieved board certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in January of 1969, and is an emeritus fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Kamali also served as the President of the Delaware Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons and was a longtime member of the Delaware Medical Society.

Dr. Kamali established his practice in Delaware in 1973, continuously serving the people of the State of Delaware until his retirement several years ago. Always passionate for life, with a great smile and terrific sense of humor, he cherished the opportunity to provide care for the many patients that he treated.

Funeral services are Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10am, at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803, followed by burial at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery.
