Ruth Elizabeth Lambright, 88, wife of the late Joseph G. Lambright, and daughter of the late James F. and Dorothy S. Hannagan of Missouri, and sister of the late James F. Hannagan of Michigan has gone to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was the beloved greeter of residents, employees and visitors alike at Forwood Manor, where she resided for more than four years. She is survived by her children, Mark Lambright (Marcia) of Texas, Lisa Lambright of Maryland, Laura Lambright (Richard Francovitch) of Louisiana, Jeff Lambright of Florida, and David Lambright (Cecilia Bardy) of Germany, eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Ruth was a gifted singer and soloist (first soprano) who sang since childhood. She performed with the Augusta Choral Society, Welcome Wagon (Augusta, Louisville and Wilmington), DuPont Chorus, the Good News Gals and the Aldersgate Methodist Church Chancel Choir, among other groups. She was an avid golfer who had served as President of the DuPont Country Club Women’s Eighteen Hole Group. Her fondest memories include attending and working at live sports events like The Masters, The US Open, the LPGA Open Golf Tournaments, and the Delaware Smash tennis. She worked as a US census agent, Realtor and also as a poll observer. She volunteered as a leader for Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. She enjoyed camping from Canada to the Florida Keys, and vacationing throughout America and Europe.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 from 4-6pm at McCrery & Harra, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilm., DE 19803. A Christian service will be held at 11am on Monday, Nov. 13 at Aldersgate UMC, 2313 Concord Pike, Wilm. Burial will be at 11am on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd, Bear, DE.
