Edward G. Brandenberger age 96, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 16, 2017 surrounded by family. He was born in Evansville, Indiana.

Ed was a graduate of Michigan State University. He served in the United States Army during World War II, and worked on The Manhattan Project. After the war he was a Chemist with the Dupont Company for 39 ½ years. After his retirement from Dupont, Ed spent 22 years as a guide at Hagley Museum. He retired from Hagley 7 years ago.

Ed is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy D. Brandenberger (Damon); his 3 children, Elaine Sinclair, Dr. William B. Brandenberger (Rebecca), and E. Thomas Brandenberger. Also survived by his 6 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Seth, Carrie, Gareth, Sam, and Morgan, as well as 12 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Thursday December 28, at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, where friends may greet the family from 11:00 am until Noon. Interment will follow the service at the VA Cemetery in Bear, DE.
