JOE P. TILLER

Fort Myers, FL Joe P. Tiller passed away on January 21, just 2 weeks before his 100th birthday. He was born on February 6th, 1918 in Germantown Tennessee, and served in WWII as a Radio Operator for the Army Air Corps. While in uniform he met and married Shirley Harris of Wilmington Delaware. They settled there and Joe had a long career with Hercules Corporation, as well as with Local 137, working in the money room at various race tracks. After Shirley passed away in 1997 he relocated to Fort Myers in 2004, and married June Lotich in 2007.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Tiller Mendenhall. He is survived by a sister, Hazel Allen of Reno NE, his daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Ronald Tolson of Millsboro DE, his son and daughter-in-law Allen and Carole Tiller of Ft Myers FL, three grandchildren, Michelle Tolson of Sarasota FL, John Mendenhall and Tom Mendenhall both of Wilmington DE, wife June Lotich Tiller, and three step-children Danny Lotich,Careen L. Becker, and Terry Lotich, all of New Albany IN.

The entire family wishes to thank the wonderful and caring staff of the HealthPark Rehab facility where Joe spent the last nine months.
