Wilmington- Kathleen M Willis, age 75, passed away peacefully with her daughter and friends at her side on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Heartland Hospice House.
She was born in St. Paul, MN and was the daughter of the late Ruth Frances and Joseph Alexander McCandlish, Sr. Kathleen worked as a bus driver for Knotts Bus Service for over 15 years. She was an active Guard for The Salvation Army and a member of the New Castle Moose Lodge. She loved spending time at Camp Ladore, Waymart, PA, with all her friends from the Salvation Army.
Her husband, James Willis, died in December of 1991. Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Charlotte R. McCandlish of Newark, DE; a brother, Joseph A. McCandlish, Jr. of New Castle, DE; niece, Jennifer; nephew, Jeffrey; step-son, Ronald Willis and step-daughter, Patricia Willis.
Charlotte would like to express her sincere gratitude to Wilmington Hospital Annex - Community Program, the Beautiful Gate Outreach Center and the Helen Graham Cancer Center for the care and support they gave to Kathleen over the past 13 years and especially to Becky Wiedemer from Public Health, State of Delaware.

Services: Tuesday, July 31, 2:30pm, Salvation Army, 104 W. 5th St., (Corner of N. Shipley St. & W 4th St. Entrance) Wilmington. Viewing: 1-2:30pm, Salvation Army.
