CHARLES "CHUCK" EUSTON

Charles Buford Euston Jr “Chuck” Our Lord called Chuck home unexpectedly on September 25, 2009. Born in Connecticut, he resided in Delaware, France and Florida, before settling again in Delaware in 1986, where he met and married Kay, his wife of 21 years. After graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from Florida Atlantic University, Chuck worked at the Kennedy Space Center on a computer system for the first space shuttle, Enterprise. He later managed the largest nuclear power plant monitoring system under development at that time in the US. Chuck joined ICI in 1986; managed R&D IS, developed a computer validation system still in use today, and retired from AstraZeneca in 2004. Chuck was an avid woodworker, loved model railroading, and played country music on his guitar. Chuck became a Master Mason in Solomon Lodge No. 36 AF & AM in 1970. He was honored by Grand Lodge for his outstanding work as Worshipful Master during Solomon’s 25th anniversary, 1992-93. In 2007 Chuck began working with Literacy Volunteers Serving Adults, tutoring people in English as a second language and helping them acclimate to an unfamiliar country and culture. Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Kay; two children, Carrie Ann Adams and Chris Euston, both of Florida; four grandchildren; a sister, Kathe Tormanen of Wilmington, Delaware and two brothers, Tom Euston and Paul Euston, both of Newark, Delaware Visitation will be from 1-2 pm. on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the McCrery Memorial Chapel, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy at Duncan Road. A Masonic service with begin at 2 pm followed by the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Solomon Lodge No. 36 AF & AM, P.O. Box 266, Newark, DE 19715.
