JOSEPH F. PRZYWARA
Joseph F. Przywara
Of Wilmington, DE passed away suddenly at his home on Friday afternoon, October 23, 2009.
Joseph was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Blanche T. (Bak) and Joseph F. Przywara, Sr. Joe was a member of the Strategic Air Command and flew Air Refueling Tankers as a Radio Operator on missions during the end of the Korean and beginning of the Vietnam Wars. Joe was a member of Sampson Air Force Base Veterans Association, Inc., and donated countless items to Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, AZ. He received a BS, MBA, and MEd from the University of Delaware. He retired from the Delaware Department of Labor as a Management Analyst. He taught ESL in Poland under the Kosciuszko Foundation/UN program. He was also a member of Ampol and attended many functions of the Delaware Chapter of People to People International, including being a Teacher/Leader of Student Ambassadors to the former Soviet Union, Ukraine, and Belarus. He was a world traveler.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lorraine (Masik); three children, Lawrence J. and his wife Kathryn of Mountain View, CA, Stephen L. of San Diego, CA, and Michelle K. of Tampa, FL and two grandchildren, Alyssa and Thomas. He is also predeceased by his two brothers, Richard and Robert, and a daughter, Susan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 30th, at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Rd., Greenville. A viewing will be held at the church from 9:00 to 9:50. Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery.
