JAMES DENNETT
James D. Dennett, age 81, of Haines City, FL, and formerly of Wilmington, DE died Monday, November 2, 2009 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Dan Doubet.
James graduated from West Philadelphia High, class of 1947, and worked as a steam fitter sub forman for Philadelphia Electric Co. He retired in 1990 after 40 years of service.
James was predeceased by 3 wives, Claire (nee Tallant), Grace (nee Smith), and Joanne (nee Wilson). He is survived by his 6 children, Claire O’Hanlon, Stephen Dennett (Eleanor), James Dennett, Barbara Dennett-Doubet (Dan), David (Beverly), and Stacey Strazzella (Scott); sister, Mary Beck (Al); 17 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 12 noon at the McCRERY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 3294 Concord Pike (Rt. 202 S. of Silverside Rd.), Wilmington, DE 19803, where friends are invited to call after 11 am.
