THOMAS ABBOTT
Thomas W. Abbott, Sr.
Age 67 of Georgetown, DE went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2009. He was born in Wilmington, DE and presided in Marshallton most of his life.
He was retired from General Motors, Corp at Boxwood Road. He was a lifetime member of the Mill Creek Fire Company and a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Millsboro. He moved to Sussex County after he retired from General Motors.
Mr. Abbott was predeceased by his father Thomas G. Abbott, but is survived by his mother Ruth Abbott of Middletown. He is also survived by his wife Barbara Abbott; his daughter Pamela, his son Thomas Jr. and his wife Anne, also 2 step sons, Robert and Anthony Deptula and their wives Mary and Kimberly. His
sister, Gail Willoughby and her husband Jay; 10 grand-children;3 great grand-children and several nieces and nephews. He will be surely missed.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday December 22 from 6-8 pm. in the McCrery Memorial Chapel, 3710 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington, Delaware 19808. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning at 11:00 am.in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mill Creek Fire Co 3900 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 or to your favorite charity.
