GEORGE HOLGATE
George L. Holgate, Jr.
Age 64, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on December 30, 2009 at the Christiana Hospital.
George had worked for 20 years as a design engineer for All State Design & Engineering. He then went on to work for 10 years at Scott’s Tru Value Hardware on Elkton Road, Newark. He was a photographer and enjoyed reading, sports, the Boston Celtics and was an avid U of D Sports Fan. He also served in the Army National Guard for 6 years.
George is survived by his wife Mary Ann Holgate, his daughter, Susan Carpenter and his grandson, Christopher Scott.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the 2:30 pm. at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHAPEL Kirkwood Highway and Duncan Road where a memorial service will begin at 3:00 pm.
