“Vickie”
Age 77, of Newark, DE, passed away on December 30, 2009. A native of NJ, Vickie traveled the world with her husband and family, and was a vivacious and creative entertainer. Vickie also wrote for a magazine, “The Pensacola Monthly”, was formerly employed at Sears and Nutri-System, and owned her own dating serice. She and her husband also owned the Olde Canal Inn in Delaware City in the 1980’s. Her husband of 51 years, Edward T. Nye died in 2004.
Vickie is survived by her children, Jackie Capomacchio and husband Ed of Union, CT, Lesa Cain of Newark, Tim Nye and wife, Carla of Tampa, FL, Joe Nye and wife, Marylou of Bear, and Chris Nye and wife, Tia of Los Angeles, CA, 8 grandchildren, Joshua, Alicia, Brooke, Stevie, Jackson, Sierra, Rachel, and Ryan, and 2 great grandchildren, Jake and Eileen.
Vickie is also survived by her brother-in-law, Grant Nye and wife, Joan, their sons, Bob and Tom and their families, as well as her former son-in-law, Paul Tonelli.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 1:00pm at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3710 Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Road where friends may call after 12. Interment will be private. To send condolences please visit: www.mccreryfuneralhome.com.
