Thomas C. Godwin
Age 80 of Elkton, MD passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on January 4, 2010. Mr. Godwin was a supervisor with the U.S. Postal Service retiring after 35 years of service. He was a member of the R.C. Club of Delaware. His interests included gardening, traveling, fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Godwin; his children, Gerald T. Godwin and wife Wanda of Newark, DE, Judith A. Kraszewski and husband Paul of Kemblesville, PA, Tilghman E. Godwin and wife Suzanne of Fair Hill, MD, Kenneth C. Godwin and wife Elaine and Leigh S. Uyeda and husband Garrett all of Newark, DE. 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Joann Stevens, Patricia Adair of Wilmington, DE and brother in-law Wayne Baker and wife Mary of Dagsboro, DE.
The funeral service will be held on Friday January 8 at 2pm. in the McCrery Memorial Chapel, 3710 Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Rd. Visitation will be at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, N. Dupont Highway, New Castle. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Community Hospice, P.O.
